The Nigerian Southern Senators Forum has extended warm Christmas and New Year greetings to Nigerians, emphasising unity, hope, and resilience as the nation looks forward to 2025.
In a statement signed by its Chairman, Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, the forum described Christmas as a time of love, renewal, and faith. It urged citizens to reflect on the season’s message of hope and to share joy, promote peace, and support the less privileged.
Acknowledging the economic difficulties faced by many Nigerians, the forum praised the bold reforms and initiatives introduced by President Bola Tinubu’s administration. These measures, the senators said, are aimed at setting Nigeria on a path of sustainable growth, peace, and prosperity.
“These are challenging times, but they also present opportunities for transformation. We commend the government’s commitment to building a stronger economy and call on Nigerians to support these reforms for the collective good,” the statement read.
The forum stressed the importance of unity and tolerance, urging Nigerians to harness the country’s diversity as a source of strength. “As we enter the New Year, let us renew our commitment to living in peace, tolerance, and mutual understanding. By working together, we can build a nation that is inclusive, prosperous, and strong,” it added.
The senators encouraged Nigerians to remain hopeful and steadfast, expressing confidence that better days are ahead.
