Entrepreneur and philanthropist, Dr. Olakunle Oladunni Churchill, has donated a new missionary bus to St. Stephen’s Anglican Cathedral Church in Ondo Town, Ondo State, in memory of his late father, Primate Gabriel Oladunni.
The presentation took place during a church event attended by local leaders, including the Queen of Ondo Town, Olori Dr. Olayinka Kiladejo, community chiefs, elders, and youth representatives.
Dr. Churchill stated that the donation was a personal expression of gratitude and faith. “Faith has always played a major role in my life. It is an honour to give back to a church that has done so much for the community. My hope is that this bus will enhance their ability to serve, teach and reach more souls,” he said.
The bus is expected to support the church’s missionary and outreach programmes, offering transport for clergy and members during evangelism and other church activities.
Receiving the donation, Olori Kiladejo acknowledged the legacy of Churchill’s father and addressed claims about his identity. She stated, “Churchill’s father was a respectable religious leader and not a gardener as you-know-who had claimed.” She added that Primate Gabriel Oladunni was known for his service in the church and in the wider religious community.
Church members and local residents welcomed the donation, describing it as a valuable addition to the church’s operations.
