Cleric charges Catholic knights to defend faith

The chaplain, Eko Metro Council of the Catholic Church, Fr. Vincent Ubili, has charged knights of the church to defend the faith.

Speaking during the investiture of about 50 Catholics with the Third Degree of the Knights of St. Mulumba, at the Church of the Assumption, Falomo, Lagos, the cleric warned them against complacency and compromise, but to abide by the true intendments of their symbols.

According to the former pastor of St. Dominic Catholic Church, Yaba, while the headgear symbolises God’s protection, the cape symbolises selfless service, and the sword symbolises the word of God, the Holy Eucharist and the teachings of the church.
