Fiery cleric and Founder, Hour of Mercy Prayer Ministry (Worldwide), (Ori Oke Alaseyori), Prophet Moses Muyideen Kasali, has warned that the Southwest security outfit code-named Amotekun should not be hijacked by politicians.

Fiery cleric and Founder, Hour of Mercy Prayer Ministry (Worldwide), (Ori Oke Alaseyori), Prophet Moses Muyideen Kasali, has warned that the Southwest security outfit code-named Amotekun should not be hijacked by politicians.“It should be strictly for security and protection of life and property. Their operatives should not be used for political engagements, which conventional police should do…” he said.

The cleric spoke during the church’s yearly Alaseyori 30-day fasting and prayer programme holding between February 1 and February 29, 2020. He noted the security outfit was the best thing to have happened in the country in recent times. He advised those in positions of authority to be nationalists and detribalised leaders.

Kasali said: “Nigerian leaders must always stand as symbols of national unity and cohesion to experience peace. Some leaders are dividing the country more through their actions and inactions…”

Speaking on the call by a National Assembly member that President Muhammadu Buhari should resign because of insecurity, the cleric said that was not the solution.“If Buhari resigns, who will take over? It is God that put the President in that position. All we need to do is to pray and intercede for our country. If the President is helpless about our problems, God can solve them.”
