‘Religious leaders must speak truth to power’
Confederation of Christians for National Cohesion (CCNC) has cautioned religious leaders against inciting Nigerian youths at the forefront of the #EndSARS campaign to cause chaos in the country.

The convener, Bishop Maxwell Okeke, noted that it was unfortunate that some religious leaders gade inciting sermons in churches and mosques at the peak of the #EndSARS protests across the country.

In a statement, they urged the government to stop using brute force to stop protesters exercising their rights.

MEANWHILE, the Presiding Bishop, Victory International Church, Taiwo Adelakun, has said it was wrong for government to expect religious leaders not to speak truth to power.

Adelakun, a former President, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), during a press conference at the Oluyole Estate headquarters of Victory International Church, Ibadan, lamented that this year was full of challenges.
