Community charged to support Ogun government on grassroots development

Residents of Pejuola Community in Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, have been urged to unite and join hands together with Ogun Government at all levels in providing necessary amenities for grassroots development of the area.

Residents of Pejuola Community in Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, have been urged to unite and join hands together with Ogun Government at all levels in providing necessary amenities for grassroots development of the area.
The Baale of Pejuola, Alhaji Taiwo Ekerin, Ilufemiloye 1, made the call during the commissioning of the newly constructed community main entrance with solid gate at Tekobo Junction and hosting of Baales in Abeokuta South Local Council.
Alhaji Ekerin, who described the gate as perfect for a modern community, which provides security, explained that government cannot do it alone, as the development of communities should be a joint effort.
He called on the privileged ones in the area to support other notable projects embarked upon to put smiles on faces of residents living in the area.
“ Let’s support government in the development of our area. We should all rally round to execute little projects in this community before seeking help from the Government, which I am sure they will support us if they see our efforts,” Alhaji Ekerin said.
He thanked the organising committee, Chairmen, elders, Board of Trustee, religious leaders for a job well done; also, appreciating the former President of the community, Alhaji Kunle Oladunni for his support from the United States of America.
Former Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Honourable Olusegun Gbeleyi, Pejuola Community Board of Trustee Chairman, Chief Muniru Akanbi (Baba Tekobo), the Grand Patron, Engr. Abiola Ogunbona, former President of Pejuola Community , Chief Adeolu Ogunmuyiwa and Baales from Abeokuta South Local Council attended the event.
