Information portal and business service provider, Connect Nigeria will hold her annual event, the Connect Nigeria Business Fair, on August 27 and 28, 2020.

However, to present a new approach and rise above the challenges presented by COVID-19, according to the organisers, the event will be a virtual one.

Managing Director of the company, Mr. Emeka Okafor said people globally can participate in this year edition of the Business Fair.

“All you need is an Internet-enabled device and you are connected from wherever you are in the world. 2020 Vision has been repackaged and it is going to be exciting, bigger, and better,” he said.

According to him, the eighth edition of the Business Fair provides a roadmap for business owners (big and small) to learn and thrive, adding that there will be panel sessions with titans of industry such as the President of Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Toki Mabogunje, Henrietta Onwuegbuzie of Lagos Business School, Tunde Coker of Rack Centre, Fela Durotoye of Gemstone Consulting, Ubong King of Protection Plus, representatives of Allianz Insurance, Union Bank, Stanbic IBTC, First Bank, Sigma Pensions and others.

Okafor stated that there will be masterclasses, networking, exhibitions from brands like logos.ng, Price Pally, and Lucy.NG and many more.

He said the aim of the fair is to help entrepreneurs to see clearly and encourage a holistic view of businesses in order to take considerate steps towards success.

He noted that Connect Nigeria is an advocate of building strong businesses and through her annual Business Fair, is on a mission to empower at least one million Nigerian businesses, adding that the company promotes indigenous businesses through her annual SME campaign, Connect Nigeria Top 100 Emerging SMEs.

The Chief Executive Officer of Transferred Limited, Tolulope Oginni, who featured in Forbes 30 under 30 for 2019 is a success story and an immense beneficiary after participating in the Connect Nigeria Business Fair.

According to him, the fair will hold in partnership with Creno8, Dochase, Founders Institute, LBS, and LCCI, with support and sponsorship by Aiteo, NIRSAL, Allianz, First Bank, Union Bank, Carbon, Air France KLM, Stanbic IBTC, Sigma Pensions, Hot FM, Rave TV, and Page Financials.
