Contractors are making progress on state projects — Fayemi

Despite the lockdown order in Ekiti State, as part of measures to contain COVID-19, construction works are ongoing at the projects initiated by the state. The Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, said this on Friday, when he inspected some ongoing projects in parts of the state.

Fayemi, who inspected projects at the College of Agriculture and Technology, Isan Ekiti, Ikupeju- Ire- Ilumoba and Ado- Iyin road projects and others, said construction must be allowed during the lockdown for contractors to meet up with their deadlines.

Fayemi was accompanied by the Commissioner for Works and Transport, Sola Adebayo, Special Adviser on Road infrastructure and Transport, Sunday Adunmo, Senior Special Assistant on Public Buildings and Infrastructure, Wale Ajayi and others. He expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work done in the places visited.
