The chairman of Yaba Local Council, Kayode Omiyale, has appealed to philanthropic organisations and kindhearted individuals to support the family of Anthony Emmanuel, who are finding it difficult to raise the triplets God has just blessed them with. He made this appeal when the parents brought the children to the council, seeking for government’s support.

Adejare presented the father with mechanic tools to empower him in his craftsmanship and a cash donation of N100,000. He further directed the Medical Officer of the council to ensure both children and parents were in good health condition.

With five children already, the triplet’s mother, Eliyah, was advised to go for family planning without any delay. Emmanuel, aged 31, was grateful for the gesture and promised to use the money for the family’s good as well as equip his mechanic workshop.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Agege Local Council, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Egunjobi, has sought bylaws to check abuse of public infrastructure by residents and business owners in Lagos State.

The council boss, in a statement by his Media Adviser, Rotimi Sulyman, made the call at the weekend in Agege when organisers of Miss Cleaner Lagos Pageant 2017 paid him a visit. He noted that the misuse of public amenities was contributing to infrastructural deficit.

“Agege is a miniature Nigeria and here residents and business operators abuse public infrastructure in unimaginable ways. They block access road, deface property and dump waste in canals and drainages.

“The activities of artisans cause road damage. All these are clear antithesis to the urban renewal drive pursued by Governor Ambode.”
