Court remands Adoke, others in EFCC custody


Justice Idris Kutigi of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) sitting in Gwagwalada has remanded the former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Bello Adoke and six others in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The defendants, after pleading not guilty to the 42-count charge yesterday, would be in custody till next Monday, January 27, 2020 when the court is expected to hear their bail applications.

Justice Kutigi made the remand order over the alleged $1.2 billion Malabu oil deal fraud proffered against them by the Federal Government.
