Create jobs to discourage trafficking among Nigerians, group urges FG
A non-governmental organisation, United Global Resolve For Peace (UGRFP), has urged the Federal Government to create jobs that would discourage Nigerians from seeking greener pastures abroad.
It said government must provide enabling environment that would be conducive for Nigerians who want to go into small and medium businesses, stressing that resorting to loans from international bodies will not grow the economy.
In a statement signed weekend by the Executive Director, UGRFP, Shalom Olaseni, however commended the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) for commitment to fighting human trafficking, which has resulted in the successful prosecution of traffickers.
