Dr Mojisola Adeniji, founder of the non-governmental organisation R.I.S.E. — Recover, Inspire, Support and Empower — says her emergence as Ms Classic Royal UK 2025 has significantly amplified her advocacy against addiction and substance abuse.

An addiction psychiatrist and global mental health advocate, Adeniji said she has dedicated years to championing addiction recovery and rehabilitation, spreading the message that no life is beyond restoration, healing and hope.
The Lagos-born advocate explained that her decision to venture into pageantry was driven by a desire to expand the reach and impact of her humanitarian work.

“I was crowned Ms Classic Royal UK 2025, a prestigious platform that celebrates not just beauty, but purpose, leadership and impact. The competition brought together remarkable women, each with unique stories and causes. I believe what distinguished me was my authenticity, clarity of purpose and unwavering commitment to using my voice for positive change,” she said.

Describing the moment she was announced winner as emotional and fulfilling, Adeniji said the crown represents more than a title.

“It was a deeply emotional moment that reflected years of growth, resilience and preparation. Since my win, I have used the platform to amplify my advocacy, engage communities and raise awareness about addiction recovery and mental health.

“The crown has expanded my influence and deepened my responsibility to serve. Beyond the glamour, it has given me visibility and a stronger platform to impact lives on a larger scale, which, to me, is the greatest reward,” she added.

Adeniji described herself as a woman driven by compassion, service and purpose, noting that her life’s mission is centred on restoring hope and dignity to people battling addiction.

“My life’s work is focused on helping individuals and communities break free from the grip of drug and alcohol addiction and rediscover hope, dignity and purpose. Beyond my profession, I am proud to serve as a global mental health advocate and the current reigning Royal UK Classic,” she stated.

Speaking on the vision behind R.I.S.E., Adeniji said the organisation is committed to supporting vulnerable individuals and families through recovery-focused initiatives.

According to her, the organisation’s mission is built around four key pillars:

“Recover — Supporting individuals on their journey to sobriety and mental wellness.

“Inspire — Sharing stories and campaigns that promote hope and reduce stigma.

“Support — Providing education, resources and community-based initiatives.

“Empower — Equipping individuals and families with the tools needed to rebuild their lives.”

She added that R.I.S.E. carries out awareness campaigns, educational programmes, community outreach, strategic partnerships with recovery organisations and digital advocacy through social media platforms.

Adeniji further noted that her combined experiences in healthcare and pageantry have strengthened her ability to connect with diverse audiences and drive meaningful social change.

“My exposure across healthcare and pageantry has given me a unique platform and voice. It has taught me how to communicate effectively with different audiences, build meaningful connections and advocate confidently on both professional and public stages.

“It has amplified my reach and strengthened my ability to inspire change and impact humanity positively,” she said.
