During a five-day training programme in Kano, ADF’s Director of Health and Nutrition, Dr. Francis Aminu, noted that the programme is tagged Aliko Dangote Foundation Integrated Nutrition (ADFIN).
According to him, the newly refurbished Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) across five pilot local councils would be used as Outpatient Care (OPC) and Inpatient Care (IPC) component of the Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition (IMAM) services.
“The purpose of the training is to equip the health workers with the requisite skills on how to assess, treat and care for malnourished children under the age of five,” he stated.
