The Delta State Commissioner for Works, Highways and Urban Roads, Reuben Yakubu Rume Izeze, is poised to deliver motorcycles and cars to enhance local vigilante activities.

This initiative aims to promote the Delta State Governor’s “Enhanced Peace & Security Plank of the M.O.R.E Agenda” in Ughievwen Kingdom. The event is scheduled to take place at his Oginibo residence on Saturday, September 21.

It will also feature the disbursement of funds to beneficiaries of the Commissioner’s Empowerment Scheme for small-scale business owners (women) and Ughievwen Kingdom’s indigent students in tertiary institutions for the 2024 academic session.

According to the programme, 100 women engaged in small-scale businesses, drawn from the 34 communities in Ughievwen Kingdom, will receive N50,000 each to support their businesses.

Additionally, 200 students from Ughievwen Kingdom in various tertiary institutions in Nigeria with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 will receive N25,000 each as bursary support.
