Delta government approves construction of Kwale-Beneku bridge, others
This follows the Delta State government’s approval of the construction of Kwale-Benetu Bridge.
Construction of the bridge, now part of Ndokwa East and West local council areas, is coming 60 years after oil exploration began in the then Aboh division of Bendel State.
Also approved by the state government is the dualization of Section C2, Ogwashi-Uku-Asaba road.
State Commissioner for Information, Ogbueshi Patrick Ukah, disclosed this after the State Executive Council (EXCO) meeting presided over by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in Asaba.
He said the decisions were in line with the determination of the government to take advantage of the dry season to achieve major construction of roads.
Also approved is the construction of Olomoro internal roads in Isoko South.
According to the commissioner, the construction of Oyubu Godspower Street to link Ibori Road in Oghara, Ethiope West, and that of Kpakiama link roads in Bomadi Local Council were equally approved.
Other roads that got the approval of the EXCO are the Obi-Ogo Eziokpor/Umuoshi Eziokpor Road in Ukwuani Local Council, access road from Otumara Road to Western Delta University, Oghara, Ethiope West, and Egbo bypass.

He said: “These approvals are confirmations that the governor truly deserves the award of Driver of Infrastructural Development in the country as bestowed on him recently by Prospers Strategy Limited, at the Nigerian Infrastructural Development Awards 2018 in Abuja.”
