Delta government okays construction of 13 roads, flyover
The Delta State government has approved the construction of 13 roads across the state and a flyover at Coker Junction along Ibusa Road, Asaba at the cost of N37.23b.
Commissioner for Information, Charles Aniagwu, disclosed this at a media briefing after the State Executive Council meeting in Asaba, saying the resolutions reached at the meeting on the projects and other issues would have positive impact on Delta people.
Aniagwu, who spoke in company of his Works counterpart, James Augoye, said: “At Exco meeting presided by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, a lot of projects were approved for construction.”
Speaking, Augoye said the ministry would complete the procurement processes for the projects at the end of January 2021, adding that approved roads include rehabilitation of 11.85km Odimodi-Ogulaha road in Burutu at N2.1b.
The state government also approved the 2.025km rigid concrete pavement of Stadium Road, Ugborodo in Warri South-West Council at N1.2b and 6.7km access road to Ekuku Bridge in Otefe-Oghara, Ethiope West Council at N1.01b, among others.
