The chairman of Delta State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kingsley Esiso, and some Isoko leaders of the political grouping have called for its unity to win the 2019 elections.

They spoke during a familiarization visit by the party leadership to Isoko North local government area of the state.
Esiso, a lawyer, who addressed members of the party at Isoko North Secretariat, Ozoro, said: “It is imperative we unite the party in Isoko North and other areas where we are having pockets of differences in the state and the country because whatever successes we have recorded in the past was largely due to the unity that existed between the party echelon and the people.

“I appeal strongly to the leaders of our party in Isoko North to put aside their differences in order to make the party greater than it used to be,” Esiso said, disclosing that the Isoko North Chapter of the party is very important to the State because they have always delivered the party’s candidates from 1998 to date.

Minority Leader of House of Representatives, Hon. Leo Ogor, acknowledged that there were pockets of differences in the area which would be resolved in the interest of the party and the people.

Earlier, the chairman of the party in the local government, Prince Godwin Ogorugba, had assured Esiso and his entourage of the unalloyed loyalty and support of party faithful in the area to the SMART Agenda of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa declaring, “there is NO VACANCY at Delta Government House come 2019.”
