Delta speaker urges Christians to seek God’s face in all they do
The Speaker of Delta House of Assembly, Mr Dennis Guwor has urged Christians to continue to seek the face of God and divine mercies in all they do, to fulfil God’s purpose.
Guwor in his Christmas message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Nkem Nwaeke on Monday in Asaba, also enjoined Christians to forgive those that might have wronged them in one way or the other in line with the spirit of the season.
The speaker while felicitating with Christians all over the world especially the people of Delta for celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, prayed God to grant them blessings that flowed from the celebration of the season. He added that true believers could never fall short of His glory.
Guwor who is the National Treasurer, Conference of Speakers of States Houses of Assembly, said: ”On behalf of my family, Warri South West Constituency and the entire Delta legislature, I wish the people well on the annual spiritual event.”
The speaker, therefore, assured the people of the state of the commitment of the Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori’s-led administration in advancing the state to greater prosperity.
Guwor, however, noted that an atmosphere of peace and tranquility was needed to achieving the ”MORE agenda” of the state government.
“We must be united to achieve steady progress and growth in the state.
“As we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, let us use the spiritual event to preach love and greater unity amongst ourselves.
”We must forgive each other of any perceived wrongdoing and move ahead for greater tomorrow.
“On behalf of my wife, Timiebi, family, constituents and the Delta house of assembly, I wish the people of the state and residents in the state and indeed Christians all over the world, Merry Christmas.
”I pray that all the blessings that come with it locate us all to His glory. Amen,” he said.
