As part of efforts aimed at impacting communities and spreading hope, the Daniel Ogechi Akujobi Memorial Foundation (DOAMF) has reaffirmed commitment to implementing programmes across education, healthcare and mentorship.

Measuring project deliverables since beginning of the year, the Foundation’s Programme Manager, Catherine Olukotun disclosed, ‘our story this year began on the greens with the 15th DOAM Foundation Charity Golf Tournament, held at Ikoyi Club 1938, Lagos, on April 18, 2026.’

To her, it wasn’t just a tournament, but a gathering of hearts—168 players, more than 35 sponsoring organisations, and countless supporters came together to raise funds that fuel our impact across the country

In the area of education, she added, ‘our Scholarship Support Programme continued to give wings to 48 outstanding learners across the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels. Children laughed, learned, and dreamed bigger during our Children’s Day Celebration in Makoko, where more than 130 pupils and teachers participated in an inspiring day of learning and encouragement.’

Through the DOAMF L.E.A.D. Project, implemented in Amaimo and Ugiri-Ike communities in Imo State, as well as Abule Egba in Lagos State, Olutokun noted students were educated on personal hygiene, character development, leadership, and the dangers of drug abuse. The project also reinforced the importance of education as a pathway to a brighter future. In total, more than 474 students benefited from these mentorship sessions.

In addition, she stated the health interventions have equally been impactful.

From providing continuous medical support to the Amaimo Primary Health Centre, opening of an Outpatient Centre in Imo State to organising health awareness campaigns and medical outreach projects across Lagos and Ogun States, every initiative has focused on improving community well-being.

To commemorate International Women’s Day in March, she recalled the Foundation partnered with Purelife Health to organise a Healthy Living Project in the Wemimo community of the Ladi-Lak area, Bariga. The project reached over 130 beneficiaries, including women, children, and the elderly.

Specifically in May, approximately 1,000 people received free medical consultations, treatment, and medication during a free medical outreach at Omu Ajose, organised in partnership with the Goke Dele Foundation.

Through these combined efforts, the Foundation has reached more than 1,782 beneficiaries during the first half of 2026, spreading hope, promoting inclusion, and improving lives across multiple communities.
