Dowen College holds lecture to mark 25 years anniversary
Dowen College, Lagos, recently organised a lecture to mark its 25th anniversary.
Delivering the lecture with the theme:’Bracing up for the future’, Guest Speaker, Professor Olurotimi Coker, Professor of Psychiatry, Clinical Psychologist and Consultant Psychiatrist, Department of Behavioural Medicine, Lagos State University, College of Medicine, Ikeja, highlighted 10 steps on how to set and achieve important life goals.
He told the students that to brace up for the future, they must be bold, audacious, brave and unashamed. They must not care what others think about them but deal with difficult situations by appearing to be confident rather than ashamed.
Prof Coker talked about social health and well-being, the ability to interact and form meaningful relationships with others anywhere we find ourselves.
Personalities at the lecture include Principal, Dowen College, Dr Adebisi Layiwola, School Chaplain, Rev Faloye Olawole, Chairman, Board of Governors, Dr Taiwo Borisade, his wife, Tomi, Head of Management Team, Dr Adewale Adeoye and Deputy Head of School, Mr Muraina Olusesi, among others.
