Economic recession: Saraki seeks Nigerians’ understanding
…Says Better Days Coming
President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki, yesterday sought understanding from Nigerians, assuring that the country would in no distant time overcome the current economic recession.
He said the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration was aware of the economic predicament of Nigerians, just as he said measures were being put in place to cushion the effect of the hardship.
Fielding questions from State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa yesterday, Saraki, however urged Nigerians to join hands with the President Muhammadu Buhari administration to enable it provide succour for the people.
He also wished Nigerians, especially the Muslim faithful, a happy Sallah celebration, promising that the country would continue to see better legislations as the National Assembly resumed plenary later this month.
