
The Edo State House of Assembly, on Wednesday, confirmed Emmanuel Okoebor, as the Commissioner for Finance, following his nomination by Governor Monday Okpebholo.
The House Committee on Rules, Business, and Government House, chaired by the Majority Leader, Charity Aiguobarueghian screened Okoebor, ahead of his confirmation.
The House confirmed Okoebor’s nomination through a voice vote having found Okoebor educationally qualified and suitable for the role, subsequently recommending his confirmation.
“The Edo House of Assembly, on Wednesday, confirmed Emmanuel Okoebor as Finance Commissioner following his nomination by Governor Monday Okpebholo,” Aiguobarueghian said.
“The committee found Okoebor to be educationally qualified and fit for the job and recommended that he be confirmed.”
Following his confirmation, Okoebor becomes the third commissioner appointed by Okpebholo’s administration.
