Reacting to the allegation by the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) that five months after Vice President, Yomi Osinbajo re-commissioned the non-functioning 60,000 tonnes Edo State Fertiliser plant in Auchi, Etsako West local government area of Edo state, the state government has rebuffed the allegation saying the factory was producing at optimum and ready to serve farmers across the country in the new farming season.

Also, the fertilizer plant management who took journalists round the plant said the plant was still operational. Speaking to journalists yesterday, Special Adviser to Governor Obaseki on Agriculture, Joe Okojie, said there is enough fertilizer for farmers in the state.
