The management of Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH), Ado-Ekiti, has given a week ultimatum to the families of some abandoned bodies in the hospital morgue to claim them.

The hospital said it would be left with no option but to give mass burial to the unclaimed bodies.

Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the hospital, Dr. Kolawole Ogundipe in a statement yesterday in Ado-Ekiti, said families of many of the bodies have refused to claim them for a long time.

He said such unclaimed bodies were fast becoming something else to the hospital and had occupied virtually all the few available space in the mortuary.

The statement, therefore, advised the affected relations and family members to come forward without delay to remove the bodies.
