El-Rufai submits N81b supplementary budget to assembly for approval

Kaduna State Governor Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai has submitted a proposal of N81,682,444,243.21 billion as a supplementary budget to the state House of Assembly for approval.

Speaker Aminu Abdullahi Shagali, who disclosed this yesterday at the plenary, said the supplementary budget was necessitated by the fresh injection of funds received by the planning and budget commission from the ministry of finance for supplementary appropriation, which requires the approval of the House.

However, a six-man ad hoc committee, to be chaired by Ahmed Muhammed of Zaria Kewaye Constituency, was constituted to look into the budget for the further legislative process.
