Supporters of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari trooped to the streets of Ilorin, Kwara State, yesterday, chanting his name as the best man for the job.

Led by members of Northern Nigeria Youths Forum (NNYF), in a peaceful but short procession around Sango area of the town about 7:30a.m., the crusaders said Emefiele, as a technocrat, remained the most suitable president for Nigeria in 2023 general election.

According to the Convener of Emefiele for President (EFP), Mohammed Danlami, the CBN governor has, through the Anchor Borrowers Programme (ABP), set the pace for how Nigerian masses could access loan facilities without high profile collateral.

Besides, he said, “only a non-politician” like Emefiele, could devise strategies for peace in Nigeria and formulate alternative to petroleum, the mainstay of the nation’s economy.
