President Bola Tinubu

Enugu West Senatorial District, yesterday, at an event, pledged support for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Peter Mbah ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The event, described by organisers as more than a routine political gathering, is positioned as a strategic convergence of influence, structure, and grassroots mobilisation to deliver a clear message of unity and political direction.

In a statement by the Chairman of the Media and Publicity Subcommittee, Emeka Aneke, the rally is designed to mobilise and project the unified voice of the people, bringing together political leaders, traditional institutions, stakeholders, youth movements, and women groups from across the district in a show of strength and cohesion.

He noted that preparations are already underway for a mega endorsement rally, which is already generating momentum across the state.

MEANWHILE, the Ijaw nation in Delta State, yesterday, formally endorsed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for re-election in 2027.

The endorsement came during a grand reception organised by the Ijaw National Congress (worldwide) in honour of the governor in Bomadi, which drew prominent political leaders, traditional rulers, stakeholders, and members of the Ijaw nation from across Delta State and beyond.

The development followed a motion moved by the member representing Burutu Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Julius Pondi, endorsing and supporting Tinubu and Oborevwori for a second term in office.

ALSO, the Enugu State Traditional Rulers Council has endorsed Governor Peter Mbah for a second term in office ahead of the 2027 election.

The royal fathers further pledged their continued support for government policies, particularly in maintaining peace in their communities and safeguarding public infrastructure.

Speaking, the Chairman of the State Traditional Rulers Council, His Majesty, Igwe Samuel Ikechukwu Asadu, said the royal fathers are united in their support for the governor, stressing that his performance had justified their confidence.
