The former Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Services(FIRS), Mohammed Nami has urged the business owners and citizens to pay their taxes regularly in order to enable government at all levels provide essential services to them.

Nami made the appeal while speaking to newsmen in Minna.

According to him”,The best hospitals,roads,bridges,airports, schools,portable drinking water, electricity as well as security of lives and properties do not happen by accident,adding that governments provides these amenities through taxes”.

He explained that business owners and citizens of countries all over the world make it happen by entrusting their government with taxes they pay.

The former FIRS boss, however, advocate for the utilization of taxes pay by the citizens by investing it on basic physical and organizational structures for the greater benefit of humanity.
