Ex-militant leaders fault planned protest against amnesty boss

Prof. Charles Quaker Dokubo

Ex-militant leaders from the nine states of the Niger Delta have faulted the planned protest against the Coordinator, Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Professor Charles Dokubo by some aggrieved beneficiaries over alleged corrupt practices.

Operating under the Environmental Rights Advocates Organisation of Niger Delta, ERAOND, they described the planned protest over unpaid stipends as uncalled for, misplaced, wicked and selfish.

In a statement, yesterday, the leaders of the group, Chief Reuben Wilson, Gen. Godgift Ayabowei, General Ezikiel Akpasibowei and Alex Watchman called on those involved to halt the planned protest.

Earlier, a coalition of militants from the region had demanded the sack of Dokubo and Head of Integration, PAP, Chief A. Brown over alleged corrupt practices.
