Following Supreme Court ruling over the November 11, 2023 Imo governorship election, which affirmed the victory of Governor Hope Uzodimma as the winner, the diasporan paramount King of the Igbo community in Ghana, His Royal Majesty Eze, Dr. Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu (Ezeigbo Ghana) has joined other Nigerians and ndi Imo to congratulate the governor on the judgement.

The Ezeigbo in a statement saluted the resilience and tenacity of Uzodimma in rigorously fighting for his renewed mandate through the court with its attendant strong affirmation as the winner of the election as declared by the Apex Court last Friday, August 23, 2024.

Iheneu said: “May I, on behalf of the Igbo community in the Republic of Ghana, join Imo people back home and in the diaspora to congratulate our dear governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma on his landslide victory at the poll during the November 11, 2023 governorship election and affirmation of his victory by the Nigerian Supreme Court.
This victory validates the massive support and confidence ndi Imo have in your governance and performance stride with your impressive outing in the last five years in office.

“As we celebrate with you and members of your cabinet, may this victory spurs you into action to achieve more in other aspects of governance calling for attention. God, through this landmark victory, has given you another opportunity to write your name in gold with people -oriented programmes, policies, and projects.

“Be assured, the assurances of the massive support of ndi Igbo and that of the Obi Eziokwu diasporan traditional stool in the Republic of Ghana,” the statement read.
