A FORMER Nigerian Ambassador to the Philippines, Dr. Yemi Farounbi, has faulted the appointment of Chief Olusola Ebiseni as the South-West Coordinator of Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council.

A FORMER Nigerian Ambassador to the Philippines, Dr. Yemi Farounbi, has faulted the appointment of Chief Olusola Ebiseni as the South-West Coordinator of Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council.

Farounbi said that Afenifere was supposed to represent the will and wish of the Yoruba. He said that the organisation would lose the trust of many when it began to identify with a political party.

In another development, one of the patrons appointed by the Yoruba self-determination group, Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, Alhaji Alli Oyedeji, has turned down the appointment. In a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan, at the weekend, Oyedeji said he was not consulted before the purported appointment. He said that such a story was fake news.
