FCT residents stage unity peace walk in support of Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu

Thousands of residents, community leaders and political stakeholders, have participated in the “Relax Tinubu is Fixing Nigeria” Unity and Peace walk across Lugbe and Kuje area councils of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The organisers said that the event was aimed at promoting voter awareness ahead of the 2027 general elections and highlighting the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

Addressing journalists during the event in Abuja, the Director-General of the RTIFN movement, Hon. Ahmed Bala, thanked residents for the large turnout and commended them for conducting themselves peacefully throughout the rally.

The roadshow attracted government officials, youth groups, traditional leaders and supporters of the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda.

Among those in attendance was the Chief of Staff to the Minister of Youth, Hon. Muhammed Abdullah, alongside officials of the Relax Tinubu is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN) movement, community leaders and youth advocates.

Bala noted that major highlight of the rally was the direct empowerment of the local population. To cushion economic realities and foster self-reliance, startup kits and financial grants were distributed to numerous women and youth entrepreneurs across Kuje and Lugbe.

He said: “The beneficiaries and market women of Kuje openly reaffirmed their  support for President Tinubu, citing the direct, tangible infrastructural impacts their communities have experienced under his leadership.

“Leadership requires courage, and President Tinubu has shown that courage. We are here to appeal for your continued patience. The policies of this administration are not quick fixes; they are sustainable foundations, and they have already started yielding visible fruits across the nation. Trust the process, protect your vote, and let us stay united as we approach 2027.”

Bala emphasized that President Tinubu’s sweeping economic and structural reforms are fundamentally designed to reshape Nigeria for long-term prosperity.

The rally also featured cultural displays and entertainment, with performances by entertainers including Basketmouth, Enenche Enenche, Zule Zoo, Ekwe, Joel and Samegeezy, as well as other emerging artistes.

In a statement issued after the event, the National Director of Media and Publicity of the movement, Musa Abdulrahaman, said the turnout reflected growing confidence among supporters in the administration’s vision for national development.

He said the roadshow ended with renewed calls for peace, unity and active participation in the democratic process ahead of the 2027 elections. If you’d like, I can also rewrite this in a more neutral, newspaper-style report with additional context and balancing language.
