The Federal Government has denied generating a ‘no-fly list’ of persons who participated in the #EndSARS protests across the country.

The Federal Government has denied generating a ‘no-fly list’ of persons who participated in the #EndSARS protests across the country.

In a series of tweets yesterday on the official handle of the Federal Ministry of Interior, government emphasised that it did not, had not and would not generate such list.

There were reports that the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) on Monday prevented a promoter of the #EndSARS movement, Modupe Odele, from travelling abroad.

It was alleged that the action by the service might be connected to her role in the protests, having mobilised a good number of participants through her twitter handle, @Mochievous.

Odele had said the officers detained her, seized her passport and made her to miss her flight.

The scenario generated intense discussion among Nigerians, with many urging the government to stop harassing Odele.

Describing the development as false, government urged the public to shun fake news.
