President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed grief over the passage of one of the country’s celebrated poets and winner of the 2017 NLNG-sponsored Nigerian Prize for Literature, Ikeogu Oke.

In a statement yesterday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, the president extended condoled with the Oke family as well as the literary and creative community over the loss.

He said as an author, journalist and poet, Oke exuded vibrancy, intelligence and innovation in his works as a social commentator.
