Sen. Atiku Bagudu, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, says the Federal Government is set to construct the Natsini-Kangiwa-Kamba road at a cost of N35 billion.

He made the disclosure at a Mega Rally organised in honour and support of President Bola Tinubu and Kebbi Governor, Nasir Idris, at Haliru Abdu Stadium, Birnin Kebbi, on Wednesday day.

Bagudu reiterated the significance of the road, stating that it was vital for rural dwellers, particularly farmers and other residents of the area.

He described the governor as a blessing to the people of Kebbi, while also referring to Tinubu as a blessing to Nigerians.

The minister identified Koko-Dabai road as another crucial route for Zuru Emirate and the state, which had been under construction.

Bagudu dismissed claims that some policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration were against northern interests.

“The North is an important part of Nigeria. The country will be better if all regions work together,” he said.

“President Tinubu has maintained amicable relations with all sections. He previously supported northern candidates like the late Umar Yar’Adua and former President Muhammadu Buhari.

“As part of his economic team, I can attest that President Tinubu always works for Nigeria’s good and is tirelessly striving to make the country great.

“Tinubu believes in reality and is determined to unlock the potential of all parts of the country,” Bagudu said.

“Every region in Nigeria has unique or multiple resources. No section can claim to be superior to another,” he added.

The minister commended the Kebbi governor for elevating Kebbi’s infrastructure and economic development.

Alhaji Bello Ka’oje, a House of Representatives member for Suru/Bagudo Federal Constituency, also dismissed claims that Tinubu is “anti-North.”

He outlined the President’s achievements across various sectors, which had benefited northern Nigeria.

“These projects include road construction, economic empowerment, and agricultural development, among others,” he stated.

The lawmaker praised the Kebbi governor for his efforts in human capacity development, infrastructure, and improving the socio-economic well-being of his people.

“These qualities have endeared him to the people, who organised this massive rally to support him and President Tinubu,” Ka’oje said.

Addressing the large crowd, the governor Idris thanked the people for their unwavering support and loyalty to his administration.

“I renew my commitment to serving you better and reaffirm Kebbi’s 100 percent support for President Tinubu.

“Democracy is about performance. Tinubu has served Nigeria creditably and provided vital support for Kebbi’s growth. His remarkable achievements are evident.

“Without a doubt, Kebbi remains a stronghold of the APC, fully supporting and cooperating with President Tinubu,” Idris said.
