Firm donates to destitute home

The Okobaba Destitute Home, located in the heart of Ebute-Metta, Lagos was flocked by associates of Vatebra Limited, when they carried out their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) with Food for Charity recently.

Vatebra donated food and items of personal convenience to inhabitants of the home, which consist of lepers, blind, the crippled and the homeless.

Managing Director Vatebra, Kunle Akinniran said their plight is palpable and they survive begging for alms, hawking, and juggling menial jobs, which is why this year’s CSR effort endeared a commitment to giving a friendly and helping hand to those most deserving of it.

Deputy Managing Director, Mike Aigbe said, “at Vatebra, we believe that every person counts and thus, we focus our CSR mainly on locals and individuals with rare access to basics such as food, which has been a constant daily struggle for many”. Receiving the gifts from Vatebra, spokesperson of the leper and blind sections of the home appreciated their efforts whilst requesting for more help. The highlight of the day was the happiness and high spirit this brought to faces of the inhabitants of the home.
