
To promote the health of its staff, Queen’s College, Yaba Lagos, in partnership with Livinghealth International, organised a wellness and screening programme for its staff members at the school premises in Yaba, Lagos.
No fewer than 200 teaching and non-teaching staff members were screened. They were also offered insights into their health status and guidance on how to improve their well-being.
Medical practitioners were also on hand for consultations and to dispense drugs, where necessary.
The Director/Principal of Queen’s College, Mrs Oyindamola Obabori, said “The health of our staff is of utmost important to us. We aim to ensure the well-being of our employees and create a healthier and more productive working environment..”
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Livinghealth International, Dr. Gbenga Adebayo, said that the exercise was in line with the company’s vision to enhance the health of individuals and organisations through innovative and holistic solutions.”
He highlighted the importance of taking responsibility for one’s health.
He shared important tips to promoting ones health covering nutrition, adequate hydration, wholesome relationships and health checks.
He further said, “We are delighted to work with Queen’s College on this important initiative. We believe that health is the underlying assumption for all plans and achievements. We commend the management of Queen’s College for taking proactive steps towards the well-being of its staff.”
Members of staff who participated in the exercise expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to check their health status and learn more about how to prevent and manage common health issues.
