To promote financial literacy and civic responsibility among young Nigerians, the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), in partnership with Arojah Concepts and Sprezzatura Publishing Ltd, will publicly unveil an educational book titled “Taxation: Essential Knowledge for Nigerian Children” tomorrow.
The event, which is part of activities to mark the 2025 Children’s Day celebration, will be held in Abuja.
Written by Arabinrin Aderonke Ejiura Blessing Haruna and edited by Dr. M.S. Abubakar, the book is a simplified introduction to taxation tailored for secondary school students. It aims to foster early awareness about the role of taxes in national development and encourage responsible citizenship.
Chairman of the FIRS, Dr. Zacch Adedeji, will host the event, while the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, will attend as the Very Special Guest of Honour.
A distinguished line-up of dignitaries is to grace the occasion.
Chairman of JAIZ Bank, Dr. Umaru Abdul Mutallab, is the Distinguished Father of the Day, while Saduanan Dutse of Jigawa State, Alhaji Nasiru Dano, is serving as Chief Launcher.
Director at the Abuja Business School, University of Abuja, Dr. Bissan Ezekiel Dankadi Joseph, will deliver the official book review.
Organised by Arojah Concepts, the event will feature book readings by students, interactive games, cultural performances, and dance drama, all centred on the theme of tax education. It is to be a landmark initiative in shaping financially literate and socially responsible future leaders.
