FIRS shuts DN Meyer, Morrison, others
The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has sealed the premises of DN Meyer Plc, Morrison Industries Plc and seven other companies in Lagos.
The exercise, which ran from Monday through Wednesday, also affected Grizi Nigeria Limited, African Paints Nigeria Limited, Congas Oil, J. Irorun Enterprises and Kesley Greene Nigeria Limited.
They were shut over alleged tax debts as follows: DN Meyer’s (N54.6 million); Congas Oil (N24.2m); Morrison (N19, 813, 450.80m); African Paints (N11, 146, 453.57m; Grizi (N11, 351, 640.30m); Irorun (N11.59m); Kelsey (N4.325m); Persus Ventures Nigeria Limited (N40, 831, 878m) and Best Aluminum Limited (N21, 565, 728m).
