Foreign investors extend outreach to Lagos communities
International businessmen and foreign investors in Nigeria, Sudeep Ramnani and Jai Mahtani, yesterday, extended their ongoing outreach to the less privileged in Lagos State to mark Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary.
The initiative focused on Yaba and Eti-Osa local councils where the businessmen, through their representative, Beulah Akingbelu-Banjo, distributed food items to support the Federal Government’s efforts to combat hunger and food poverty.
The investors, who spoke on their motivation, said that their contribution was a gesture of goodwill towards the Nigerian people.
“There is no better way to celebrate Nigeria than to seek the welfare and wellbeing of its citizens in our little way.
“The outreach, which aims to tackle hunger and improve food security, is part of a broader plan to reach every local council in Nigeria, covering two councils at a time over the next few years,” the duo said.
