Nigerians youths have been urged to develop a sense of direction, purpose and focus to change the political narrative for the betterment of the country.

This was the submission of participants at a youth discourse tagged ‘Gaskiya Platform’ organised by a non-governmental organization, the Bege Foundation.

With the topic, ‘Safer and Peaceful Communities: Youth Action in Ensuring Peaceful, Credible, Transparent and Inclusive 2023 General Elections’, the discourse was held at Augustinian Vocational Training Centre in St. Monica’s Catholic Church, Jos, at the weekend.

A public affairs analyst, Bello Lukman, who delivered the keynote, decried the relegation of the youth during elections and noted that the essence of the gathering was to change the narrative.

Lukman added that despite the expensive nature of the electoral process, he believed that the youth had actually not made good use of their numerical strength to effect positive change.
