Foundation takes medical outreach to Ijegun
As part of activities to mark its 10th anniversary, Ajoke Ayisat Afolabi Foundation (AAAF), the philanthropic arm of SIFAX Group, visited Ijegun community in Lagos State with free medical outreach. More than 300 residents benefitted from the outreach held in collaboration with Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
The beneficiaries were screened on diabetes, malaria, hypertension, HIV and dental checks. Others were given food, household utensils and clothes. Following consultations, treatment and medications were dispensed for dental complaints, pains, malaria, diabetes and hypertension. Counseling and referrals were also offered to HIV positive patients.
Participants at the outreach included the chairman and members of the Community Development Association, volunteers, representative of the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA), Joke Oshodi-Olasunkanmi, and members of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs).
