The last leg of the Kid Entrepreneurs fair (KENT FAIR) for the year holds this Saturday at the Filmhouse Cinemas, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.

The event, which holds thrice yearly, has trained no fewer than 500 child vendors nationwide. The business fair provides young entrepreneurs the platform to showcase their products and services.

Commencing at 9.00 a.m., the fair encourages the kids to transform their skills and talents into products and services that could change the world someday.

The quarterly programme has so far embarked on six major field trips with over 3,000 adults and non-participating kids in attendance.

According to the convener, Omobowale Agboade, “KENT fair is the first ever and only entrepreneurial development centre for kids in Nigeria. We are passionate about sparking up the entrepreneurial skills in children and we do this through three major platforms.

“They include entrepreneurial products including toys, story books and toolkits; entrepreneurial events like the Kid Entrepreneurs Business fair as well as kid entrepreneur conferences”.

She said the forthcoming event promises excitement, as the contests would be spread in four major areas. They include cooking, mock tail mix, fashion runway as well as art competitions supported by over 50 partners and sponsors.

The cooking contest for instance, will involve 10 kids in a live programme where they are to make delicious meals.

Ten kids are also in for the mock tail mix competition, just as the fashion runway contest would cater for 10 boys and 10 girls strutting the runway as well as modelling fashionable clothes.
