The declaration, made at the residence of former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, was made by a prominent leader of the community, Alhaji Usman Jowuro-Lamba.
He led representatives of over 200 Fulani groups across the 16 local councils of the state to the event.
Jowuro-Lamba said the political forays of the Kwara-based Fulani started some 50 years ago when their progenitors started romancing the titan of Kwara politics, the late Sen. Olusola Saraki.
He added: “We want to continue in this way by declaring our support for all the PDP candidates seeking elective posts in this year elections. We enjoyed the dividends of democracy under Saraki. But today, the reverse is the case. We will vote from the hierarchy of presidency to that of the councillor for all the PDP candidates.”
Receiving the delegation on behalf of Saraki, former Speaker of the House of Assembly, Dr. Alli Ahmad, thanked them for adopting all the PDP candidates for the polls, just as he promised them adequate distribution of democratic dividends when his party is voted into power.
