
Addressing members of the commission at the Government House in Kano, Ganduje urged members to find out the causes of the inferno that occurred last week which led to the loss of property worth millions of Naira.
He also urged them to find a lasting solution to the incessant fire incidences in the state.
The governor mandated the commission to ascertain the extent of damage caused by the inferno and expressed the hope that recommendations would be relied upon to put an end to fire outbreaks in the state.
The committee was given six weeks to submit its report.
Responding, the Chairman of the Commission, Retired Justice Wada Rano, gave the assurance that the members would carry out the assignment with utmost diligence.
Other members of the Commission are the Commissioner of Police (CP) in Kano State, the Director of State Security Service, representative of the Emirate council, the Chief Imam of the state, among others.
