Ganduje places new perm secs on probation
Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje yesterday approved appointment of 36 new acting permanent secretaries on a three-month probation.
Besides, Ganduje reminded them that upon expiration of the timeline, they would be confirmed subject to passing a drug test.
The governor recently relieved all serving permanent secretaries in in the state of their appointments for alleged sabotage and partisanship.
Out of 22 permanent secretaries relieved of their appointments, 12 were considered loyal and made the new list.
Six were offered opportunity to retire as permanent secretaries, while four of them were demoted to substantive directors on grade level 16.
Addressing the new permanent secretaries after administering oath of office and allegiance, Ganduje reminded them that their appointment was based on merit and loyalty to build efficient and functional civil service system in the state.
