Gov Eno dedicates African leadership award to Tinubu, others

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has received the African Leader in People-Centric Governance Award, presented by Security Watch Africa, in recognition of his commitment to people-focused leadership and good governance, dedicating the laurel to President Bola Tinubu.

At the ceremony in Uyo, Eno appreciated the former State Governors, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, members of the State Executive Council and the good people of the State, describing the award as a collective achievement, it reflects the power of unity, collaboration, and a shared commitment to serving the people.

He said that this recognition belongs to all of us and reflects what we can achieve through unity, collaboration and a shared commitment to service, and expressed appreciation to Security Watch Africa for continuing delivering quality leadership award for people-oriented governance.

Governor therefore pledged to remain committed to serving the people of Akwa Ibom State with diligence, humility, and the fear of God, announced that an Environmental Sanitation Bill would soon be transmitted to the State House of Assembly.

While commending the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Udeme Otong, members of the legislature and the Special Adviser on Legislative Affairs, Emmanuel Bassey, for their cooperation in ensuring the speedy passage of the bills.

Earlier, Speaker Udeme Otong described the package as one of the most significant legislative achievements in the history of the 8th Assembly, noting that never before had such a large number of executive bills been considered and passed within such a short period.
