Gowon preaches national unity, peace at GCK

The Founder of Nigeria Prays, General Yakubu Gowon(rtd) has called on all Nigerians to bury their differences and pray more for national unity and peace so that the country can continue to make progress and development.

Gowon made the assertion at Global Crusade with Kumuyi, GCK, in Abuja, explaining that the crusade has been a great and tremendous movement in Nigeria, using the gospel of peace and of our Jesus Christ in bringing people to the kingdom of God.

The Founder stressed that God is able to do great things through the Deeper Life Church Worldwide, calling on other denominations to unite, and continued in prayers for the country to remain one indivisible nation and working together for the GCK movement.

” Let’s do everything possible to keep the country, whether we are Muslims, Christians or traditional religion. As we are from various sects, we will not allow anyone outside or within the country to destabilize us as a people,” Gowon added.

He therefore urged every citizens, stakeholder to believe in the unity of Nigeria, maintaining, “we will work against any group of individuals, or something that would want to trouble the entire country.

While commending the General Superintendent of Deeper Life Church Worldwide, Pastor William F.Kumuyi, the Nigeria Prays Founder emphasized that they have been enjoying fellowship and support from the church, “I’ve just attended the 50th anniversary celebration of Benue State.”
