Kingdom Friend of the Needy foundation, a subsidiary of Vessels unto Honour Women ministry, has donated food and household items to indigents in Lagos.

Kingdom Friend of the Needy foundation, a subsidiary of Vessels unto Honour Women ministry, has donated food and household items to indigents in Lagos.

The Lagos based foundation said the gesture was to support the less privileged and the needy with a special focus on widows and orphans with the aim of bettering their lives.

The founder, Modupe Ajayi, who spoke during the foundation’s yearly outreach, organised for orphans and widows, said the programme was to give the indigents courage to fulfil their purpose in life.

She said the vision of the foundation was borne out of the revelation God showed her on how widows are suffering at the hands of their family members after the death of their husbands and the plights of orphans.

She stressed that the foundation has empowered widows through skills acquisition programmes in tie and dye making, snacks making, headgear washing and later supported with start-up token.

She said: “The widows have also been impacted and transformed for godly and stress-free life through the study of God’s word.”

The foundation was founded in April 2005 and has since established a network of male and female members for God’s work.
