Ogoni Sim Vanguard (OSV) has said Ogoni people are indebted to Governor Nyesom Wike, following his efforts in developing the four local councils in Ogoni.

Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT) of OSV, Marvin Yo, said the ethnic nationality would be considered ungrateful, if it fails to support Wike’s visions as expressed in the choice of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flagbearer, Siminialayi Fubara.

Ogoni ethnic nationality is in Rivers South East senatorial district of Rivers State.

At the inauguration of OSV, yesterday, in Bori, Khana Local Council of the state, Yobana stated: “Ogoni is proud of Governor Wike, as we have never witnessed such level of development in terms of projects since the Second Republic. Governor Wike has, indeed, brought the dividends of democracy to Ogoniland.

“Despite that we can attest that His Excellency loves Ogoni, the Ogoni will remain indebted to him for the great wonders he performed in our land. For example, Saakpenwa–Kono dual carriageway completed with streetlights; Kpobie–Bodo road completed; renovation of Birabi Memorial Grammar School, Bori; Bodo General Hospital and many other projects.”

In his brief response, Fubara urged the Ogoni, Rivers people and various support groups to intensify efforts to defeat PDP’s political opponents.
